Puff Stitch Coin Purse

Puff Coin Purse

Materials:

1 ball Natura Just Cotton Yummy
Suggested colors: N89 Lime, N93 Dark Pink or N99 Teal
“C” (2.75 mm) crochet hook
Metal coin purse frame: 3 1/8” (8 cm)
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Sewing needle to sew crochet purse to the frame.

 

Stitches Used:
ch – chain stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
PS - 3 hdc Puff St – *Yo, insert the hook into the st, yo and pull up a loop. Pull all three loops to the same height.* Repeat from * to * twice more. There are 7 loops on your hook. Yo and pull through 7. Ch 1 to lock st.

 

Note: To help keep your place, mark the first st of each rnd with a marker.

 

Instructions:

Rnd 1: Ch 21. Turn. 2 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook. 18 sc. 3 sc in the last ch. Turn and work 19 sc on the opposite side of the foundation chain.

Rnd 2:Continuing to work in concentric circles around the foundation chain, work 2 sc in each the first 2 sts, 20 sc, 2 sc in each the next 2 sts, 19 sc.

Rnd 3: 2 sc in the first st, 2 sc, 2 sc in the next st, 19 sc, 2 sc in the next st, 2 sc, 2 sc in the next st, 20 sc.

Rnd 4: 2 sc in the first st, 4 sc, 2 sc in the next st, 19 sc, 2 sc in the next st, 4 sc, 2 sc in the next st, 24 sc. Sl st to join the round. Ch 1. Do not turn.

Rnd 5: *Work a PS in the first st, ch 1, skip one st from the previous row.* Repeat from * to *. Ch1. Sl st to join the round. Ch 1. Do not turn. (29 times)

Rnd 6 - 10: *Work a PS in the first ch-1 space, ch 1.* Repeat from * to *. Ch 1. Sl st to join the round. Ch 1. Do not turn. (30 times)

Rnd 11 – 18: Hdc in each PS and ch-1 space. (60 sc)

Rnd 12 – 18: 60 hdc.

Fasten off.
Weave in ends.
Sew the crocheted purse to the metal frame through the bored holes along the edge.

Suggested colors: N102 Lilac, N94 Pink or N100 Mint
“C” (2.75 mm) crochet hook
Metal coin purse frame: 3 1/8” (8 cm)
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Sewing needle to sew crochet purse to the frame.

 

Stitches:
sc – single crochet
sc2tog – single crochet two stitches together

 

Note: To help keep your place, mark the first st of each rnd with a marker.

 

Instructions:

Rnd 1: Work 6 sc in magic ring.

Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc of the previous rnd. (12 sc)

Rnd 3: Work *2 sc in the first sc, then 1 sc in the next sc.* Repeat from * to * six times. (18 sc)

Rnd 4: Work *2 sc in the first sc, then sc in the next 2 sc.* Repeat from * to * six times. (24 sc)

Rnd 5: Work *2 sc in the first sc, then sc in the next 3 sc.* Repeat from * to * six times. (30 sc)

Rnd 6: Work *2 sc in the first sc, then sc in the next 4 sc.* Repeat from * to * six times. (36 sc)

Rnd 7: Work *2 sc in the first sc, then sc in the next 5 sc.* Repeat from * to * six times. (42 sc)

Rnd 8: Work *2 sc in the first sc, then sc in the next 6 sc.* Repeat from * to * six times. (48 sc)

Rnd 9: Work *2 sc in the first sc, then sc in the next 7 sc.* Repeat from * to * six times. (54 sc)

Rnd 10: Work *2 sc in the first sc, then sc in the next 8 sc.* Repeat from * to * six times. (60 sc)

Rnd 11: Work *2 sc in the first sc, then sc in the next 9 sc.* Repeat from * to * six times. (66 sc)

Rnds 12 – 23: Sc in each sc of the previous rnd. (60 sc)

Rnd 24: Sc2tog, 2 sc, sc2tog, 27 sc, sc2tog, 2 sc, sc2tog, 27 sc. (62 sc)

Rnds 25: Sc in each sc of the previous rnd. (62 sc)

Fasten off.
Weave in ends.
Sew the crochet purse to the metal frame through the bored holes along the edge.
