The Crochet Cupcake Bag

Treat Yourself: The Crochet Cupcake Bucket Bag

14 October, 2016

Here at DMC we love all of our patterns equally—whether they’re for crochet, cross stitch, embroidery, knitting—it doesn’t matter. There’s no favoritism here. We’re like the parents and our patterns are our equally loved children. There just happens to be a few occasions when we have to call out certain designs for their absolute ADORABLENESS. You may think it’s favoritism when we say that this pattern for a Crochet Cupcake Bucket Bag will provide you with the most charming thing in your wardrobe, but really it’s just pride (and a love for anything that reminds us of dessert).

We should also mention that the pattern calls for Natura Just Cotton, which is another reason for our affection. Since all of Natura’s colors are designed to blend nicely together, your finished design will look beautifully coordinated (and feel wonderfully soft).

There you have it, our calorie-free, favoritism-free, totally fantastical bucket bag pattern.

Assembly and final touches

- With a DMC tapestry needle and a piece of Natura Just Cotton color N80, sew the lace to the bag, just where the color change was made.

- Pass the rope cord through the holes created in round 71. Do it once under the hdc and next time above the hdc to the end of the round. Repeat the instruction once again to have a double cord. Tie a knot to attach the beginning of the rope cord with the end.

- Finally, with a DMC tapestry needle, make decorative embroidery with colors N23, N85, N27 and N14 to simulate the toppings on the cupcake.
